WELCOME TO THE WICOCOMICO EDITORIAL NEWSPAPER |
"AND NOW; THE REST OF THE STORY"
About six years ago we went on line and begin educating people concerning the connection between Taptico and Tapp, after several years of hate mail from some of those that had develped the perfect lineage , tracing their family to England, we begin to win many of the people over with facts. We then formed the Wicocomico Indian Nation with the purpose of correcting the Tapp lineage. We were succeeding until recently when we had two arm chair researchers that have taken information off the internet and other peoples research and begin to research for their own gain. One researcher is going down the same path as the Liles book. He is bragging that he has over 4000 names in his family tree, he accepts family history's without strict verification that it is correct, so this simple act has set the research back at least seven years, there is now a conglomeration of material that will go out to people that will accept it as the truth. The other ignorant arm chair, selfserving person is placing the census on line and telling people that they can track their ancestors accurately by going thru the census, yada yada yada. Then she steals other peoples research and places it on her web site, all because she was removed from a team of four people trying to publish the Tapp lineage accurately. To accurately trace a family tree whether doing your immediate family or doing 10 generations, the researcher must have accurate documents to prove the lineage. I predict that within 3 years the Tapp linerage will be so badly distorted that it will be impossible to correct. Go to Ms Perfect's web site, pull up the census and see how many James or Johns are listed country wide... the information provided in the census makes it impossible to determine if it's the person your looking for.
